Littleflick returned to the alma mater on
Tuesday February 26th as Release The Funny made
it's college debut at
Canisius College. The
Montante Cultural Center hosted the event
cosponsored by the
Communication Studies
Department and
ArtsCanisius. As a bonus
for watching the film, students and friends
were treated to a half-hour of listening to
Jerry MacKay talk about why he's so great.
Fortunately for the audience, Jerry was also
surrounded by others who actually had some
sensible things to say. The panel included
Beth MacKay (producer), Sarah Ruchalski
(executive producer/script supervisor), Drew
Boeing (director of photography/actor),
Matthew Slazak (actor/set designer) and Bill
Boulden (composer/guy who passes out in
"Pinch").
Littleflick would like to thank Dr. Barbara Irwin
and Fr. Michael Tunney for putting the event
together. Also, very special thanks to the events
crew who made the film look and sound great. And
for those who missed it, you also missed some
kick-ass chocolate chip cookies and lemon squares
afterwards at the FREE reception!
